PROJECT 2014. Take a picture a day--every single day for 365 days.
I am going to attempt this project
(with an emphasis on attempt). I always have the best intentions and grand
ideas and before you know it, another day is filled. Filled with laundry, ballgames, homework,
carpooling, feeding, cleaning, work, changing diapers. You get the picture.
So why add another item to my list of
“things to do”. Because I want to try and capture the little things. Because those are the things that matter most and I sometimes lose focus of those little things. Because my charming 8-year daughter said
“Mom, it will be fun”. Because at the end of
2014 it will be cool to see a mini-glimpse of what our year was like. Because I enjoy experimenting with light,
subject matter and editing. So, why do
this? I say why not?
As most of you know, I have been
blessed to get another shot at this thing called Motherhood. I have a feeling that my first four times
around I may have missed a few things.
Don’t get me wrong, having four kiddos so close together that was bound
to happen, and it's okay. So as I begin this project as a “seasoned” mom (I prefer that word
rather than “old”), I want to remind myself to look at life thru the eyes
of my children. And remind myself
that the little things are really the BIG things…
Wish me luck, come along for the ride
and here’s to 2014---the big, the little and everything in between….
